2. Information we collect

Profile and leaderboard information

To provide rankings and competitive features, we may collect:

• Country or country code, if you choose to set one.
• Race times and personal bests.
• Weekly records, all-time records, rankings, and leaderboard entries.
• Friend or invite-related identifiers, if friend or invitation features are used.

Race and performance information

When you complete races, we may collect:

• Average speed and peak speed.
• Race date and time.
• Track or arena style used during the race.
• Whether a result is considered valid, suspicious, or flagged.
• Race statistics used to calculate records, rankings, and progress.

Device and calibration information

ScrollRace relies on device-specific calibration to make race results fairer across phones. We may collect or process:

• Device identifier or installation identifier.
• Screen and device characteristics used for race distance calibration.
• Operating system and app version.
• Information used to check whether a race came from the expected device.

Input and anti-cheat information

To detect impossible, automated, manipulated, or unfair race results, we may collect and analyze:

• Scroll input samples.
• Touch or scroll timing patterns.
• Peak speed calculations.
• Input regularity indicators.
• Anti-cheat flags and reasons, such as suspicious speed or overly regular input patterns.

App settings and preferences

We may store settings such as:

• Selected arena, custom colors, and visual preferences.

4. Public information

Some information is visible to other users as part of the competitive features of ScrollRace. This may include:

Do not use personal, sensitive, or private information in your username.

5. Legal bases for processing

If you are located in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, or another region with similar data protection laws, we rely on the following legal bases where applicable:

6. Third-party services

ScrollRace may use third-party service providers to operate the app. These providers process information on our behalf or according to their own privacy practices.

Supabase

We use Supabase or similar backend services for authentication, database hosting, account management, and storage of app data such as profiles, race results, and leaderboard information.

Apple App Store

If you download ScrollRace from the App Store, Apple may process information related to downloads, purchases, subscriptions, device settings, and App Store interactions according to Apple's own policies.

Advertising providers

If ads are enabled in ScrollRace, we may use advertising providers such as Google AdMob or similar services. Advertising providers may process device identifiers, ad identifiers, approximate location, ad interactions, and usage information to provide, limit, measure, or personalize ads where permitted.

Analytics, diagnostics, and crash reporting

We may use analytics or diagnostic tools to understand app performance, crashes, errors, and usage patterns. These tools help us fix bugs and improve the app.

7. Device permissions

ScrollRace may request device permissions only where needed for app functionality. Depending on the version of the app, this may include notification permissions or other permissions shown by your operating system.

You can manage device permissions in your phone's system settings.

8. Data retention

We keep personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, including providing the app, maintaining leaderboards, preventing fraud or cheating, resolving disputes, enforcing our Terms of Use, and complying with legal obligations.

Race results, leaderboard records, anti-cheat indicators, and account-related data may be retained while your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize account-related data, subject to reasonable retention for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, backup recovery, or dispute resolution.

9. Account deletion

You can delete your ScrollRace account from inside the app where account deletion is available.

10. Your privacy rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

ScrollRace is not intended for children under the age required by applicable law to use online services without parental consent. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children where parental consent is required.

14. Do Not Track and tracking choices

Some browsers or devices offer “Do Not Track” or similar signals. ScrollRace is primarily a mobile app, and we do not currently respond to browser-based Do Not Track signals.

You can control certain tracking, advertising, analytics, and permission settings through your device settings, Apple privacy controls, and any consent prompts shown in the app.
